Meet Matt Harper
How long have you been in the business?
4 years.
What is/are your specialty/specialties?
One of my specialties is working with restaurant owners for properties to buy or lease since I have a restaurant background while also on the Board of Directors for the Denver Chapter of the Colorado Restaurant Association. I also specialize in general retail and office spaces to buy or sell.
What do you think sets you apart from other agents here in the Denver Metro?
I believe that commercial real estate really lacks the customer service that most people experience with residential real estate. I try to bring the best customer service I can to my clients while negotiating the best deal for them. I treat each client with respect and transparency, which sets me apart from other commercial real estate brokers.
What’s the biggest challenge your clients face in this current market?
The biggest challenge I am seeing is the disparity of prices between buyer/tenants and sellers/landlords. Buyers and tenants believe that since some properties have sat on the market a while because of the pandemic, sellers and landlords are more motivated to sell or lease the spaces. That is not always true. Commercial properties can sit on the market for years sometimes without the sellers and landlords making concessions. I do the best I can to help bridge that gap between my client and the other party so we can end up in a win-win situation for everyone involved.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to travel to new places, hike, snowboard, enjoy time at a brewery, play board games, and I just recently started taking up golf! I am not very good at golf, but I am excited to hit the links more this year.
